More than thirty years of listening, understanding, and helping people move forward.

I have been a clinical psychologist in Klerksdorp for more than thirty years. That is a long time, and it means something. It means I have sat with people through just about every kind of difficulty life can throw at you — loss, anxiety, broken relationships, depression, confusion about who you are and where you are going. I have seen what helps and what does not.

My approach

I am a senior clinical psychologist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is a practical, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, your feelings, and your behaviour. It is not about lying on a couch and talking indefinitely. It is about understanding what is happening underneath and doing something about it.

My approach is interactive. I ask questions, I challenge patterns, I offer direction. I am not the kind of therapist who simply nods and reflects your words back at you. If you come to me with a problem, we work on it together with structure, purpose, and with honesty.

I am naturally more introverted, focused, and direct. I pay close attention — not just to what you say, but to what you do not say. I work intuitively, and I take the time to understand the full picture before drawing conclusions.

At the same time, I am goal-oriented and practical. I do not believe in endless talking without movement. Sessions are contained, purposeful, and focused on helping you get from where you are to where you want to be.

My work integrates guidance and teaching. I will help you make sense of your thoughts, your patterns, and your belief systems. And where direction is needed, I will offer it.

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
